ENGINEERING ION EXCHANGE FEATURES
1. No hidden costs.
Only complete systems are sold. All pumps, tanks, and controls
are included. Each system is designed for automatic, unattended
operation. You add the feed stream, power, water, and air and
we do the rest. Final pH adjust of regenerant is available.
2. Designed for a long useful life.
Our systems are designed for the environment you put them in.
Our skids and electrical enclosures are constructed of fiberglass.
All enclosures, pushbuttons and switches are Nema 4 (non-corroding/watertight).
All conduit and tubing are corrosion resistant. We expect that
10 years from now, a little scrubbing and cosmetic touch up
paint will make it look as new.
3. Easy to operate.
Our self monitoring systems require little operator attention.
An optional regeneration alarm warns the operator of impending
breakthrough. Regeneration is a one step "push-the-button"
and go to lunch operation.
4. Manual backwash override included.
Complete manual operation of the backwash cycle is included.
Full control of the manual override is included at no extra
charge.
5. Low operation costs.
Microprocessor controlled regeneration program optimizes regenerant
use and recovery. When used in conjunction with other recovery
methods such as electrowinning, the regenerant can be reused.
The system can also optimize water use during regeneration,
using as little as 1/3 of the water a standard DI type systems
would use.
6. Easy to maintain.
All valves are air operated and critical (all normally closed)
valves have tru-union connections for less than 60 second change
out. One button operation of the media filter backwashes into
bag filter with quick change access. Optional differential pressure
initiation of backwash cycle is available.
7. Minimal downtime.
Duplex feed pumps (A or B) allow operation while cleaning or
repairing either pump. Duplex media filtration (optional on
smaller systems) eliminate downtime while backwashing. Automatic
filter backwashing and switching is available on all systems.
8. Maximized on-line time.
Proportional pH adjustment maximizes the percentage of time
on line. When the main feed tank is out of the operational pH
range, no solution should flow through the system. The less
time spent out of range, the smaller the system you can buy
for your needs. We use large metering pumps and proportional
pH control for fast and accurate pH control.
9. Microprocessor control
Our regeneration cycle is controlled by a non-proprietary microprocessor.
This system is infinitely flexible and allows us to optimize
our regeneration cycle, providing an extremely high percentage
of regenerant recovery along with low water use. Our cycles
feature air blow downs to minimize dilution, cross contamination
and to maximize recovery, bump cycles to clear screens for maximum
flows, and leach steps to remove acid or caustic solutions from
within the resin to minimize water use. This flexibility is
unique to us.
